SpeedUpMyPC has 3 main function components:
System Tweaks, Speed Tools and Junk files:
Junk files scanner are typically a junk files cleaner and nothing so special about it. Give me CCleaner anytime.
Under Speed tool there is a CPU optimization which adjust the CPU allocation size so that running process will not use resources too much. There is a quick navigation tool which is I think works by adjusting thumbnail cache size. You need to turn on the software to use Speed Tool functions.
System tweaks are to optimize and speed up your computer. You need to reboot after configure the system tweaks (the software doesn't tell you to) to make the changes.
I have tried SpeedUpMyPC once several years ago, the early version was more like black box system which you cannot know which part of your windows the software make the changes. There's improvement in this, now it tells you which area of windows need to be change after scanning. You can choose which area in the scanning result list that you want to make the change before you hit FIX it button.
The scanning result list only show how many number of errors in that area, but it doesn't tell what is the specific setting it going to fix. For example, it doesn't tell what is the number of cache they going to use while for you maybe you like to know or set the figure yourself. Another example; which windows service it will disable also not detailed. But then the idea of the software is to make it easy for everyone, setting the figure can be a hassle.
Theoretically this software can speed up your PC and in practice you will get noticeable improvements (that's the important thing).
I recommend SpeedUpMyPC for typical user but not for hardcore tweak heads. Why not grab it now and try it yourself.

This is so not funny pandora just told me my pc speed was to slow to play pandora one so now i am stuck with low quality and i am so not laughing.
